FAPESP and Agilent announce results of call for proposals Research proposals in plant physiology and organic chemistry were selected and will be funded (Agilent)

The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and Agilent Technologies announce the result of the call for proposals issued by the institutions in 2011.

The call for proposals aimed to identify, select and support world-class research in advanced instrumentation and measurement techniques related to metabolomics in plant and microbiology, mass spectrometry or bioenergy.

The selected projects should also have high impact through the publication and dissemination of knowledge and experiences to the world-wide academic community.

Selected proposals:

Physiological responses of Eucalyptus globulus and E. grandis to high concentration of CO2 and temperature variations, identified by metabolomics and transcriptomics analyses

Paulo Mazzafera
Instituto de Biologia / Unicamp
Area: Botanics / Plant Physiology
FAPESP #: 11/51949-5

Prospecting volatile compounds produced by Brazilian cyanobacteria with allelopathic effects

Ernani Pinto Júnior
Fac. Ciências Farmacêuticas / USP
Area: Chemistry / Organic Chemistry
FAPESP #: 11/51950-3
