FAPESP issue call for proposals with University of Florida The call will select proposals for the exchange of researchers between the State of São Paulo and the United States (University of Florida)

FAPESP and University of Florida make public the first call for proposals for the exchange of researchers in the cooperation agreement signed by the institutions last October.

The call is open to interested researchers affiliated to the University of Florida and researchers affiliated to higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo who are Principal Investigators of ongoing research projects funded by FAPESP within the following schemes: Regular Research Awards, Thematic Projects, Young Investigators, or Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centres (CEPIDs/RIDCs).

Applicants are invited to submit a proposal in any field of knowledge. Up to four proposals will be funded. At least two of the proposals funded must have a UF lead investigator based in the UF Institute for Food or Agricultural Sciences (IFAS).

FAPESP and University of Florida will each provide funding of up to US$ 10,000.00 per project, per year, for the period established in the award, necessarily and exclusively to cover mobility expenses (travel costs, living allowances, and insurance costs).

The maximum duration of each project is 24 months, non-extendable. The closing date for submitting proposals is February 8, 2013.
