Workshop of the Brazilian Initiative on Precision Medicine (BIPMed) and the III Meeting of the Brazilian Node of the Human Variome Project (HVP-BRAZIL)

The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), under the scope of the program Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (RIDCs), and the Brazilian Initiative on Precision Medicine (BIPMed) invite you to the

IV Workshop of the Brazilian Initiative on Precision Medicine (BIPMed) in conjunction with the
III Meeting of the Brazilian Node of the Human Variome Project (HVP-BRAZIL)
.

NOVEMBER 16TH, 2017 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM

The event will present the developments achieved, including results from different groups using data from BIPMed, from 2015 until now. In addition, we aim to discuss ways of integrating BIPMed with other similar initiatives in Brazil and in other Latin American countries.

The Brazilian Initiative on Precision Medicine congregates five Research Innovation and Dissemination Centers (RIDCs) supported by FAPESP: The Brazilian Research Institute for Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (BRAINN), Center for Computational Science and Engineering (CCES); Center for Research in Cell Therapy (CTC); Obesity and Comorbidities Research Center (OCRC) and Center for Research on Inflammatory Diseases (CRID). BIPMed is based on a software platform, built following the guidelines and principles of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health and observing the responsible sharing of genomic and clinical data.

The Human Variome Project (HVP) is an international organization supported by the UNESCO working to build capacity in the practice of responsible genomics. In Brazil, BIPMed hosts the country node of HVP.
