Radicalization and Violence: Perspectives and Prevention Approaches
The German-Brazilian Dialogue 2019 is dedicated to understanding and preventing violence and radicalization of conflit that threat societies worldwide. The debates will focus on government policies - local, national and transnational - as well as on education and cultures of remembrance (Erinnerungskultur).
The core purpose of the Dialogue is to promote an exchange between Brazilian and German scientists in this highly relevant research field and to potentialize the creation of new collaborative research projects to be conducted among researchers of both countries.
The aim is to gather scholars and stakeholders from both countries, who are involved in differing professional fields, to discuss and share diagnoses and understandings of the intensification of violence in countries in the Global North and the Global South considering distinct approaches, from national and international perspectives.
