Reinaldo Morabito Neto

Area Panel - Engineering

Full Professor at the Department of Production Engineering of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from State University of Campinas (Unicamp) (1984), a M.Sc. in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics (1989) and a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering (1992), both from University of São Paulo (USP). He was a visiting scholar at the Sloan School of Management in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), United States of America (1993-1994).

He holds a Senior Researcher Fellowship (level 1A) of the National Council of Technological and Scientific Development (CNPq). He works in the Production Engineering area with an emphasis on the application of Operations Research models and methods in production, logistics and service systems.He is currently a member of the CNPq's Production and Transport Engineering Advisory Committee.

He has been Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Pesquisa Operacional since 2011. He is a member of the editorial boards of the scientific journals International Journal of Production Research, Production, Gestão & Produção and others. He was coordinator of the Graduate Program in Production Engineering at UFSCar.

He received the Jabuti Award (1st place) in the Exact Sciences, Technology and Informatics Category (2008). He has been honored by the Brazilian Society of Operations Research (Sobrapo) (2018), by the Brazilian Association of Production Engineering (Abepro) (2020), and by the Brazilian Association of Logistics (Abralog) (2003).
