FAPESP announces the results of the 2024 call to fund research on extreme heat and water events in partnership with NWO.
FAPESP announces the results of the call for proposals “Extreme Heat and Water Events: Mitigating Adverse Health Effects of Climate Change in Cities 2024”, launched in partnership with the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO).
Tenth opportunity for bilateral funding promoted within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed in 2012 between the institutions, the call resulted in the selection of five scientific collaborations between researchers from São Paulo and the Netherlands.
The call received proposals for collaborative research aimed at investigating the effects of climate change on health, specifically how extreme heat and water events affect human health and well-being in an urban context, seeking innovative solutions integrated into the lives and environments of high-risk and vulnerable populations.
